Samantha (Sam) Stone is author of contemporary romance novels and short stories.
The pseudonym of a Canadian university professor specializing in social movements and social justice, her works set intersectional relationship stories against a backdrop of progressive politics and activism. Plus, baseball! They offer an inspiring, and steamy, escape for readers worried about the world but in need of more romance in their lives!
Stone began her writing journey as a small child, drafting short stories, plays, and poetry with her mother and, later, on her own. For nearly two decades, a career in academia distracted from fiction, but she maintained a love of reading and dreamed of, someday, attempting a novel. When the pandemic hit, and her anxiety skyrocketed, the time had finally come; fleeing to a place of her own creation, with lots of hot sex, baseball, and progressive politics, helped focus her overactive mind and control her growing rage at her inequitable society. The words poured from her soul with abandon.
Stone lives with her partner of twenty years, a chronic pain condition, and two cats in a small house with a big garden (too often covered in snow). In the Before Times, they enjoyed travelling, scuba diving, and music concerts. Now, it’s puzzles, Scrabble, and documentaries. And, of course, baseball. Go Blue Jays!

These super sexy “social justice bodice-rippers” are exactly what activists (and others) need right now. They are political, passionate and hopeful. Plus, hot AF!
